Program Status: Recently Continued!! Still the best SNES emulator, one of the fastest, with 16bit digital stereo sound. Not to mention the long awaited SuperFX support
Requirements: Fast 486 or Pentium w/8megs RAM. Recommended at least a P100-133 w/16megs RAM for decent speed.
Game Play Status: Plays ALOT of games which are not possible on other emulators. SNES9X was the first SNES emulator to have sound capabilites, now boasting high quality 16bit digital stereo sound and rather fast SuperFX emulation.

Program Status: Rather new emulator, has options that many other SNES emulators don't have, including sub-screen addition/subtraction, sound! Written in 100% assembler, so great speeds can be expected
Requirements: A minimum of P100 w/8-16megs RAM should run it fine.
Game Play Status: Very high compatibility rate, ranking up at the tops of SNES emulators for game playability. Sound and 2,4,6-button PC joystick are supported. Now has SuperFX support!

Game Play Status: Smooth fast gameplay, with very good accurate sound. Compatibility rate is very high.

Program Status: Rather new emulator developing rapidly as of late. One of the best GUI's you'll ever see in an emulator!
Requirements: A P100 w/16megs RAM and up is needed for decent speed
Game Play Status: A good amount of games are playable, running at a very good speed even with sound enabled. Transparency effects have just recently been added.

Requirements: Author claims it will run on a minimum of a 486dx2-66 w/8-16megs RAM.
Game Play Status: Plenty of games are playable, graphics routines still a bit buggy. It's speed is close to the tops of all SNES emulators, but that's mainly due to it's lack of features compared to others

Program Status: Author hasn't released a new version in quite awhile, could be a dead project. Could have a bright future. Now requires a $35 registration fee.
Requirements: Author claims it will run on a minimum of a 386 w/4-8megs RAM, recommend at least a 486dx-100 w/8megs RAM.
Game Play Status: Currently runs quite a few commercial games, many of which are fully playable. PC Joystick is now supported. Very fast, close to actual SNES speed.

Requirements: Win95 or Win 3.11 with Win32 installed, 16mb RAM, Pentium.
Game Play Status: Plays approximately %30 of all SNES games, still pretty buggy though. Sound supposedly works. No joystick support yet. Improved speed over earlier versions.
